Here is a list of our programs for this year. Meetings begin at 6:30pm on the following dates, with the free program lasting about 45-60 minutes first on the agenda. Guests are always welcome and can stay for the business meeting later or leave when we take a break after the program.
Jan. 4 – Looking Back on our First Five Years, Presented by CAHS President Tammy Drobina;
Feb. 1 – The History of Bon Voyage Bells, Presented by Jeff Crook, President of Chime Master Systems;
March 1 – Silent Movie Night Featuring Lon Chaney, Sr., born near Carroll in 1883;
April 5 – Base Ball in the 1860’s, Presented by Jim Kimnach of the Ohio Village Muffins;
May 3 – Civil War Soldiers of Fairfield County, Presented by Alice Stevens, member Ladies Auxiliary Sons of Union Veterans;
June 7 – Woodcarving Demonstration (tentative), Presented by Charlie’s Chippers;
July – annual field trip (Date and location to be determined);
August 2 – The Historical Aircraft Squadron Museum, Presented by Pat Ferguson, President;
Sept. 6 – Labor Day, no meeting;
Oct. 4 – The Pickerington Historical Society, Presented by Gary Taylor or John & Rita Ricketts;
Nov. 1 – The Temperance Movement in Ohio, Presented by Beth Weinhardt of the OAHS&M;
Dec. 6 – Christmas Customs Through the Years, Presented by Karen Smith of the Fairfield Heritage Association.
