Upcoming Events

No July meeting due to the holiday, but please join us on Monday, August 2 when Pat Ferguson of the Historical Aircraft Squadron visits with info about their group. I believe he is bringing a few artifacts from their collection, along with the stories that go with them.
Everyone welcome! Meeting starts at 6:30pm at 51 Park St. (rear building), Carroll.

A half-day bus trip is set for Saturday, August 7 to many local points of interest. See covered bridges, cemeteries, one-room schoolhouses, and much more! Narrated by Dave Fey, Director of the Fairfield County Historical Parks, this trip will be interesting and fun. We leave Carroll at 9am and will return about 1pm. The bus is air conditioned and you can bring a sack lunch if you'd like as we will take a little break at Rock Mill for lunch and history.
Cost is $10 for nonmembers, CAHS members can go for free. To reserve a seat, please email us with your info.

We will have a tent at the Carroll Old Timers Festival August 26-28 so stop in and say hi. We will also be giving a walking tour of the downtown area on Saturday, a free service to promote the history of our town. We would be honored to have you join us.
